Matt Thompson


Matt has worked in healthcare as a licensed healthcare administrator for more than 20 years, since graduating from the University of Utah. He has worked for companies both large and small throughout the western half of the United States. Having experienced various healthcare companies’ approaches throughout his career, Matt says he was drawn to the opportunity to work with Stonehenge Care because of the company’s genuine focus on the resident. As a result, Matt accepted the position of Vice President of Operations in June of 2015 and then COO in July of 2016. “This company doesn’t just talk the talk but they walk the walk at every level. Once I met with the owners of the company and felt their commitment and vision to what they believe in, I just had to be a part of it.” Over the years, Matt has received experience as both a building administrator and also as director of operations providing support to multiple facilities simultaneously. When asked what he likes most about his current role Matt said, “I love being able to work with such committed and dedicated individuals that care about making a difference in the lives of our residents and their families. Being able to be a part of such a high quality organization while being able to know and work alongside not just the facility’s leadership, but also frontline staff, with the opportunity to get to know our residents as well, brings tremendous satisfaction to my role as COO.” In his free time, Matt can be found enjoying time with his wife, Trish, and their three daughters Sydney, Ashley and Abby.
